A binder of innovative women in healthcare: Nominations for a Romney administration

If Gov. Romney wins, he may need some ideas about whom to hire to lead the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, keep the technology momentum as chief technology officer and serve as advocate-in-chief. I have compiled a binder with 9 nominations to make sure women are well represented in his administration.

It’s never too soon to start planning your appointments. The polls mostly show a tie between President Barack Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney.

So, it’s entirely possible that a new cabinet will be in place early next year, as well as new leaders at many federal agencies.

Just in case Gov. Romney still uses binders for his hiring process, I have assembled one full of smart, innovative women in healthcare. I am pulling for the other side in this fight, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to see the best people in these critical roles.

Click through the slides to see who I nominate to lead HHS and FDA as well as chief innovation officer and advocate in chief.

There are many more women working to make healthcare better; Rock Health highlights many of them in its XX in Health project.
