Many doctors with smartphones are downloading mobile medical apps, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that they are using them equally.
In fact, this infographic, based on a September 2011 survey, suggests that there may well be an app overload. A full 45 percent of U.S. healthcare professionals have downloaded more than 50 apps, but only use seven — that’s right, seven — on a daily basis. Another 7 percent of these same professionals do not use more than 75 percent of the apps they have downloaded.
In this case, it appears to be less is more.
