A small study of 13 hospital systems and how they use Facebook shows that Monday is the most popular day to post on Facebook, whether it be a status update, posting information, photos or providing an offer.
The study was the first project of the Social Health Institute and was conducted by Reed Smith, a consulting strategist who is on the advisory board of the Mayo Clinic Center for Social Media as well as the SXSW Interactive festival.
Data collected between May 1 and Aug. 31 also shows four hospitals dedicated less than one hour a week to their Facebook accounts while three hospitals spent eight hours or more weekly. On average, the 13 hospitals reserved 4.5 admins to manage the Facebook page.
