In a little less than a year, the healthcare industry will need to have transitioned to ICD-10. The bloggers at Athenahealth (the clever devils) have taken Halloween to prove true a healthcare industry myth: Healthcare policy doesn’t have to be boring.

Rather than wait until the last minute to transition, Athenahealth’s blog team has started a new series to help everyone get up to speed. Each month, the team will post five diagnoses and their corresponding ICD-10 codes (likely with a large dose of humor). This month’s? Halloween-themed, of course.
