Now that CES is over, HIMSS14 is the next big event on the horizon. Entrepreneurs and big healthcare companies have started sending interview requests and I’m sure everyone from Illinois to Maine can’t wait to escape the polar vortex for the sunshine of Orlando.
Anyone who has been knows how huge the event is. HIMSS just launched a “persona tool” to help everyone from investors to nurses to project managers navigate the show. There are 13 job titles on the page and what a diverse group it is. There is even a profile and set of tips for “emerging professionals,” which seems to be people who want to join the ranks of HIT professionals.
Once you pick a job title, you get 3 tips about attending the show and a list of recommended sessions. This is a fresh way to promote an event and helpful for people wanting to network with people in those groups.
I bet the Management Engineering & Process Improvement (MEPI) and Medical Banking & Financial Systems have the best drinking games but give the worst interviews. I would hang out with the “Investors and Entrepreneurs” and the “Life Sciences” crowd for the best story ideas. Stephanie Baum will be covering the event for us. If you are going to be there, let us know.
