As reported this morning, Google unveiled its new efforts to bring more accurate medical information to the online world, in a unique partnership with the Mayo Clinic. 

With health and medical searches accounting  for one in 20 of all searches, it’s not difficult to fathom why the search engine giant and Mayo Clinic, already a top destination for credible health information online, would want to capitalize.  The search results come from the 400 most-commonly looked for ailments, ranging from frostbite to the flu to tonsillitis. An average of 11.1 doctors have reviewed the information and the Mayo Clinic signs off on final veracity.
