In a phone interview, Jim Yarsinsky, who serves as managing director of the business, said the company deploys teams of experienced accounts receivable staff he refers to as A/R swat teams. It also provides interim CFOs, among other services.

Yarsinsky said that what’s unusual about its approach is that the staff it deploys tend to have at least 10 years of experience.

Besler Consulting acquired a previous company he co-founded, PFS Resources, in 2004. It was later renamed Expeditive.

Although its core business is revenue cycle staffing, it also provides other services such as patient access specialists, certified coders, and denial management specialists, among others.

“Recruiters have no insight of what it’s like to walk in the shoes of the people they hire. We do. Our average employee has more than 13 years of experience working for hospitals. Our clients are paying for that expertise,” Yarsinsky said.

He noted that the company’s staff works within the parameters of its clients’ software systems and can provide feedback on why claims are not paid.
