Outcomes4Me Inc., developer of a free mobile app and platform to navigate cancer treatment and care, is expanding its patient offering with a medication tracker that makes regimens a core part of the app experience. When adding a medication, the Outcomes4Me app suggests regimens and drugs based on your diagnosis. The current app now houses over 8,000 drugs along with their respective drug information with the ability to search for any approved drug.

This new tool pairs with the symptom tracker which helps patients manage symptoms they’re experiencing and makes it easy to share those symptoms with a doctor.

Carrum Health announced that it is extending its Centers of Excellence platform into oncology with the industry’s first-ever cancer care bundle. Working in collaboration with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), Carrum Health will offer comprehensive bundles that cover in-person treatment at MSK for eligible patients with breast and thyroid cancers, as well as remote diagnosis, treatment planning, and care guidance for all forms of cancer. For breast and thyroid cancers, the bundle includes complete medical treatment for up to two years–an unheard of warranty in the industry.

The bundle packages diagnosis and treatment services into a single, upfront payment that can deliver significant financial savings to employers compared to traditional fee-for-service billing. Employers have full transparency into the cost of care, enabling them to better manage healthcare spending and direct their employees to high-quality providers, which improves outcomes. And patients have peace of mind that they’re getting the best care possible with little to no out-of-pocket costs.

“With our digital COE platform, we’ve revolutionized healthcare by enabling employers to purchase high-cost surgical services from top providers for a single price. Now we are the first to extend this model beyond surgery to a highly concerning and expensive condition, cancer. This new benefit takes all the complexity, stress, and worry about unexpected, costly bills out of the equation for patients and lowers costs for their employers, while providing them access to one of the top cancer centers in the country,” said Sach Jain, CEO and founder of Carrum Health.

Seven Bridges is supporting Pfizer Inc. in the development of a data management and collaboration solution for the biopharmaceutical company’s single-cell ribonucleic acid (RNA) sequencing (scRNASeq) data. The Seven Bridges Platform is a cloud-based environment for conducting bioinformatic analyses in which research teams can store, analyze and interpret their data. The partnership will introduce avenues to expand Pfizer’s cloud platforms and capabilities, a key component of Pfizer’s integrated digital cloud and advanced analytics strategy.

Seven Bridges will support Pfizer by centralizing and managing terabytes of raw and processed scRNASeq data. scRNASeq data provides detailed analysis of gene expression in individual cells.

“Interpreting large-scale, complex transcriptomics data is critically important for understanding the molecular and cellular basis of disease,” said Enoch Huang, Vice President, Medicinal Sciences, Pfizer. “We are confident that by working with the unique multi-cloud technology developed by Seven Bridges and by benefiting from the depth and breadth of their expertise in bioinformatics and cloud computing, their solution will assist us in maximizing the value of the data we generate.”
