Which startups will present at INVEST Pop Health Pitch Perfect?

The six companies taking part in the contest November 16 will present technologies addressing chronic conditions such as kidney disease and Type 2 diabetes as well as improving patient engagement for underinsured and underserved patients.

At the INVEST Pop Health virtual conference, in collaboration with New Orleans Business Alliance, scheduled for November 15-16, startups will once again take center stage. The six companies selected to present in the startup contest Pitch Perfect span a variety of solutions to address population health and chronic condition challenges from Type 2 diabetes to kidney disease.

Pitch Perfect will be held on Tuesday November 16 from 3:30-5pm Eastern Time. Among the judges who will evaluate the companies are: Dave Kereiakes, Partner, Providence Ventures, and Maxim Owen, Principal, Wavemaker Three-Sixty Health. Here’s a preview of the companies presenting in the conference:

IKONA Health

Presenter: Tim Fitzpatrick, CEO and co-founder

The company is powering personalized learning pathways for people with kidney disease using neurobiology and storytelling.

 

Realyze Intelligence

Presenter: Aaron Brauser, Co-founder and CEO

Realyze Intelligence uses artificial intelligence and natural language processing to identify precise patient populations with chronic diseases and cancer to ensure they receive the most beneficial treatments.

Sage Health

Presenter: Pedram Afshar, MD, PhD, CEO and Co-Founder

Sage Health builds software tools to better engage underinsured and underserved patients. Sage tools help patients access the right sites of care and providers are compensated for the care they provide.

Presenter: Frank Westermann, co-founder and co-CEO

9am.health is a direct-to-consumer virtual diabetes clinic that provides care to patients living with pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes. The company provides medications, labs, a personal treatment plan and access to a care team for the price of a typical co-pay.
