Unlocking the value of remote patient monitoring

An upcoming webinar sponsored by Huma will highlight three aspects of remote monitoring: real world data collection, supercharging patient engagement and navigating the regulatory landscape. Register today!

The increasingly vital role of remote patient monitoring will be the focus of an upcoming webinar, sponsored by Huma, a global digital health company. Huma’s modular remote monitoring platform helps medtech companies to realize new value, from developing patient relationships to providing real world evidence around peri operative procedures

The webinar will highlight three aspects of remote monitoring:

  • Real world data collection
  • Supercharging patient engagement
  • Navigating the regulatory landscape

A recent report from Rock Health noted that nearly half of the clinically focused digital health startups it examined (44%) had a clinical robustness score of 0. The finding illuminates a potentially significant gap in evidence.

On the flip side, medtech companies on the whole have yet to realize the value of digital health tech. The webinar will also explore use cases in episodic care, diagnostic care and chronic care.

Using data from connected devices as a way of helping patients track their condition and to better understand it could improve the quality of their interactions with clinicians. If patients with chronic conditions can see the cause and effect of their actions on their health, such as the effect of prescription medications, treatment and improvements in their condition, it could make them feel more in control of their disease. It may also help patients avoid depression, reduce anxiety and stress, and improve adherence.

Among the speakers for the webinar are:

  • Adam Dakin, partner, HealthTech, Dreamit Ventures (moderator)
  • Alex Gilbert, digital medicine, Huma
  • Archana Dubey, MD, chief clinical officer, AliveCor
  • Dr Erika Ross, director, clinical and applied research, Abbott Neuromodulation
  • Paul Trueman, VP market access, Smith & Nephew
