If you’re a healthcare or life science startup, you are often on the lookout for investors or potential collaboration partners. The MedCity INVEST conference brings them both together with entrepreneurs in this annual boutique event in Chicago at Convene from May 20-21, 2025.
In addition to panel discussions and networking opportunities, INVEST showcases healthcare and life science startups in our four-track pitch contest, INVEST Pitch Perfect. Each of the tracks has a focus:
Biopharma
Startups focused on infectious diseases.
Devices & Diagnostics
Startups focused on chronic diseases and their management.
Health tech: Consumer/Employer
Startups addressing care navigation and care coordination.
Health tech: Payer/Provider
Startups leveraging artificial intelligence.
There is no fee to apply for the contest. The application deadline is January 10, 2025. Investment professionals will review applications, and selections will be announced starting April, 2025.
Here’s the criteria for the contest:
- Startups that have been finalists and pitched at any INVEST event in the past 12 months are not eligible to apply.
- Startups should apply to only one track.
- Startups must be registered for the conference in order to participate in the pitch contest. The startup rate is $695 and a code will be sent to you if you are selected to pitch.
- Each track will include six finalists.
- Eligible startups are no more than five years old, except for biopharma/device and diagnostic startups, which can be up to 10 years old.
