The third annual edition of the 2025 Benefits Sentiment Index, a survey of 120 benefit consultants to self-insured employers, finds that nearly 30% of consultants recommend healthcare navigation, concierge, or advocacy services to control healthcare costs. But the report findings also reveal a desire for reporting from vendors that provides clear, actionable insights on ROI.
The 2025 Benefits Sentiment Index, sponsored by Quantum Health and produced by MedCity News, shows that healthcare navigation is regarded as a valuable tool for self-insured employers to enhance benefits for their employees and to manage costs.
The Index also highlighted the growing influence of AI. Seventy-two percent of consultants said they counsel clients on the impact of AI in benefits programs. Thirty-one percent said they now advise on AI frequently or most of the time, compared with 20% in 2024.
The report also highlights emerging trends from the perspective of these benefit consultants on GLP-1 drug coverage, including the kinds of conditions being placed on coverage.
