Pyx Health, a healthcare member activation company, launched a new platform on Monday to support care navigation and make it easier for people to access healthcare resources.
Tucson, Arizona-based Pyx Health works with health plans to support members struggling with loneliness. Members receive unlimited phone calls for companionship, as well as assistance with resources for physical, social and mental health needs. They also gain access to a mobile app that has an empathetic chatbot, self-guided wellness activities, interactive activities and reminders for medication.
The launch of its new platform, called the Continuous Activation Platform, is meant to particularly support those facing changes in Medicaid and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program due to the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA). OBBBA requires proof of work, school or volunteering for Medicaid and SNAP. This could result in millions of people losing health coverage or food assistance because of the added administrative hurdles required to stay enrolled.
The Continuous Activation Platform offers an AI digital navigator that assesses health plan members’ needs — such as mental health, food, housing, medications and transportation access — and helps address those needs. For example, it will send a food box if it identifies food insecurity.
For those facing changes in their Medicaid coverage or SNAP benefits, the platform can identify if members are meeting requirements for their benefits, provide guidance and ensure they have all the necessary documentation to maintain their benefits.
“Seventy-six percent of folks on Medicaid work,” said Cindy Jordan, CEO of Pyx Health. “A huge portion of them will lose their benefits because they don’t know how and/or what to do to clear the administrative hurdles around maintaining their benefits. … We’ll know that they work and they work here, and they’re working 20 hours a week, or they’re working 18 hours a week and then they’re volunteering too. We’ll know exactly what they have to do per the rules in that state to meet their obligation to stay covered by their benefit.”
The platform also has an AI tool that analyzes conversations between its staff and health plan members. If this tool identifies a care gap, like if someone didn’t see a doctor or get their flu shot, real humans from Pyx can then intervene to support that member.

“The one thing I really like about this platform is you don’t have to wait six months till claims data comes in,” Jordan said. “You will know instantly whether somebody is engaging in it. That’s why we called it the Continuous Activation Program. If they’re not logging on and they’re not doing the thing, then it’s not working. And then we’ll engage our human workforce and call them, so it’s like instant information.”
This announcement comes shortly after Pyx Health acquired FarmboxRx, a healthy food company. The acquisition enabled Pyx Health to broaden its focus beyond mental health by also addressing food insecurity.
