A new wellness startup named Climatic emerged from stealth on Wednesday, as well as announced a $10 million seed funding round led by Lerer Hippeau.
Other participants in the round included BBGV, Brand Foundry, Cade Ventures, Good Friends and Space Station.
The New York-based company is developing a non-prescription inhalant called L Max, which supports the lungs’ natural ability to clean themselves.
The Power of One: Redefining Healthcare with an AI-Driven Unified Platform
In a landscape where complexity has long been the norm, the power of one lies not just in unification, but in intelligence and automation.
“With one daily deep breath, it helps the lungs move out mucus, pollutants and debris more effectively, working with the body’s existing systems rather than forcing a response or masking symptoms,” said Climatic CEO Eric Kau.
With once-daily use, the goal is for users to experience clearer airways and easier breathing over time, which can support better physical endurance and exercise recovery, he explained.
Kau pointed out that daily lung health is almost entirely absent from wellness routines.
“Lung care has been primarily addressed reactively during crises, despite constant exposure to pollution, smoke, allergens and urban air. Climatic exists to make lung care a proactive, everyday ritual that is foundational to human health and fills the gap in preventive health, performance and recovery,” he declared.

Alan Murray on improving access for medical transportation.
He said the product is designed for anyone who breathes, with a particular opportunity among athletes and health-conscious consumers who already invest in their sleep, nutrition and hydration and want lung health to be part of their wellness regimen.
Kau noted that entire industries have been built around sleep, gut health and exercise recovery, yet the lungs, which power every system in the body, are still treated like something to address only when there’s a problem.
“Climatic was built to change the consensus around lung health by making it a preventative, daily practice,” he remarked. “The focus is on long-term resilience, performance and longevity — supporting lung health before damage accumulates, rather than responding after the fact.”
In Kau’s eyes, Climatic is carving out the daily lung health category. He said there are no direct competitors, but adjacent solutions include prescription respiratory drugs, medical devices and wellness supplements — which are typically condition-specific, reactive or trend-driven and often lack strong clinical validation.
He argued that Climatic differentiates itself because it is grounded in respiratory research and clinical studies rather than symptom management.
Climatic expects to launch L Max in late spring.
