At the recent HLTH 2025 conference in Las Vegas, MedCity News Editor-in-Chief Arundhati Parmar and Reporter Marissa Plescia interviewed healthcare executives leading a diverse range of health tech companies. They shared new developments, how they’re integrating AI, and what they’re doing to disrupt the status quo in healthcare.

Carrot Fertility Chief Medical Officer and Co-founder Dr. Asima Ahmad talked about Carrot’s approach to fertility health, explaining why it’s more than just IVF treatments. She also explained how it’s trying to change the status quo in women’s healthcare.

Elation Health CEO and Co-founder Kyna Fong said many major needs of primary care are not well met with standard EHR’s, such as longitudinal perspective on patients. Primary care is often subject to performance criteria that puts a lot of pressure on clinicians. She also highlighted how AI is deployed in practice management, patient documentation and, increasingly, to reduce the administrative burden through automation.

EY Americas Health AI Technology Consulting Leader Sezin Palmer previewed an upcoming report on getting ROI from AI. She pointed out that revenue cycle management is an area where it’s easy to assess ROI. She also addressed consolidation and offered a prediction on areas where generative AI would have the biggest impact on clinical care and payers.

Lantern President Dickon Waterfield talked about specialty care, navigation, and how the company is driving people to use its proprietary network of physicians. He also talked about the ROI Lantern delivers.

Navina CEO and Co-founder Ronen Lavi talked about its approach to value-based care and how the company is closing the communication gap between providers and payers. He also explained the company’s AI strategy.

Particle Health CEO Jason Prestinario talked about how to transform data into insights and action with a data democratization perspective. He also shared what the company hopes to achieve in the next year, particularly leveraging AI.
