The Christ Hospital has purchased two Cincinnati-area orthopedics practices that operate in a total of five locations.
The deals to scoop up the practices of Dr. Marc Schneider and Freiberg Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine follow the announced purchase last month of Dr. Daniel Funk’s practice in Fairfax, Ohio.
Schneider will maintain his offices in Kenwood and Mt. Auburn, while Freiberg will do the same in Kenwood, Western Hills and Mt. Airy, according to a statement from Christ Hospital. No purchase price was given for either of the deals.
Using Informed Awareness to Transform Care Coordination and Improve the Clinical and Patient Experience
This eBook, in collaboration with Care Logistics, details how hospitals and health systems can facilitate more effective decision-making by operationalizing elevated awareness.
“This affiliation enables us to serve the orthopedic needs of our patients with an even more seamless and well-coordinated level of comprehensive care,” said Susan Croushore, CEO of The Christ Hospital.
Last week, the hospital announced that it’s agreed to have its operations monitored by the federal government as part of a plan to resolve a decade-long kickback case in which Christ Hospital was alleged to have compensated cardiologists for referring patients to the hospital.
