Sterilization products maker STERIS (NYSE:STE) has opened a new European headquarters in Bordeaux, France.
The Bordeaux headquarters brings together marketing, research and development, manufacturing, and sales and customer services. The Mentor, Ohio-based company’s goal is to foster collaboration between the disparate groups to more rapidly develop new products, Cleanroom Technology reported.
About 150 employees, some of whom have transferred from other European STERIS facilities, will work at the new facility. The company expects to create another 100 positions within the next few years.

Changes in Nurse Staffing Answer Clinician Demands
The ongoing nursing shortage facilitates high turnover rates since nurses know they won’t have difficulties finding new jobs. In order to retain and attract staff, it’s in a facility’s best interest to understand what nurses want.
The new Bordeaux headquarters includes technical training facilities and a large showroom alongside the research and development, manufacturing and customer support functions.
STERIS last week announced a deal with Toshiba Medical Systems to collaborate on “hybrid” operating rooms for hospital customers.
