Dr. Andrew (Andy) Agwunobi joined Humana in February 2022 as President of Home Solutions. In this role, he is responsible for leading Humana’s care management, in-home nursing and assessment operations. Dr. Agwunobi is a member of the Management Team, which sets the Company's strategic direction. Prior to Humana, Dr. Agwunobi served as Interim President of the University of Connecticut (UConn) and the Chief Executive Officer and the Executive Vice President for Health Affairs for UConn Health.
Dr. Vivek Garg leads national clinical strategy & excellence, care model development & innovation, and the clinical teams for Humana's Primary Care Organization (CenterWell & Conviva) as Chief Medical Officer (CMO), which serves 250,000 seniors across the country as their community-based primary care home, with a team of committed physicians, advanced practice clinicians, nurses, social workers, pharmacists, and therapists, collaboratively partnered with great operations and business leaders.
We now know that the once widely accepted approach in which physicians were believed to “always know best” and as a result dictated their orders to unquestioning patients is suboptimal medical care. In its place, healthcare is beginning to evolve to a more patient-centered, holistic model
