Amber Barna, BSN, RN, is Vice President of Clinical and Quality Assurance at Medical Solutions where she manages a large clinical team of nurse managers who interview and oversee the performance of several thousand contingent clinicians working in facilities nationwide. She also oversees the credentialing team consisting over 80 team members who manage the onboarding and credentialing compliance for these clinicians. Additionally, Amber meets with facility partners to develop an understanding of their hiring expectations and she provides key insight into onboarding policies for facility partners. She has successfully integrated multiple onboarding and credentialing systems to provide an integrated approach to quickly onboard contingent labor while ensuring the highest of quality. Amber is the current chair of the Clinical Executive Committee for the healthcare travel industry and serves as a member on the Joint Commission Advisory Committee for Healthcare Staffing Services.
While the Covid-19 pandemic is diminished with the introduction of vaccines, the need for a national license model is still prevalent as we face other serious health challenges like natural disasters and social conflict.
