Carolyn is a health care technology executive with over 20 years of leadership experience in the shift from fee-for-service to value-based care. As CEO of Aetion, she leads the health care technology company in delivering the real-world analytics and evidence needed to inform health care’s most critical decisions — which treatments works best, for whom, and when.
Prior to this, Carolyn held leadership roles at three companies central to the shift from volume to value. As CEO of Remedy Partners, she led the premier company for bundled payments software and services. Previously, as Executive Vice President of Payer Strategy and Operations at Evolent Health, she led the operationalization of value-based contracts and provider-led plans. During her four-year tenure, Evolent grew from 50 employees and $8 million in annual revenue to a public company of 1,000 employees and $150 million in revenue.

Carolyn served in multiple leadership roles for the Medicare and Medicaid businesses of UnitedHealth Group. As Chief Operating Officer of its Community and State plan/New Jersey, Carolyn drove a dramatic turnaround and grew membership to 400,000. Prior to that, she was Vice President of Medicare Special Needs Plans, leading plans tailored to vulnerable populations.
Carolyn has an undergraduate degree from Harvard University and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
