Rick Park advises clients on patent prosecution, patent licensing, opinion work, patent strategies, and litigation. He uses his background in biomedical engineering and molecular biology to assist clients in the medical and biotech industries. He also advises clients on data privacy, data security compliance and procedure, data breach response, online privacy, mobile privacy, advertising and promotions, and social media.
Rick received his J.D. from Harvard Law School. While in law school, Rick served as an editor and member of the Submissions Committee for the Harvard Journal of Law & Technology. He also was a student intern at the Petrie-Flom Center for Health Law Policy, Biotechnology, and Bioethics at Harvard Law School.
Prior to his legal education, Rick earned his Bachelor's degree in Biological and Environmental Engineering from Cornell University. He conducted research on the RNA-guided genome engineering (CRISPR/Cas9) system and a DNA-based drug delivery system. He has a JD from Harvard Law School and a bachelor's degree in biomedical and environmental engineering from Cornell University.
