JT Finnell

Dr. JT Finnell is chief medical officer at VisualDx, where he is responsible for identifying and addressing gaps in medical knowledge and supervising content creation. He previously served as the chief medical information officer for emergency medicine at Eskenazi Health and chief architect for several emergency department clinical information systems; a research scientist at the Regenstrief Institute, Inc., and professor of clinical emergency medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine.
Dr. Finnell was selected as a fellow into the ACMI, a college of elected Fellows from the U.S. and abroad who have made significant and sustained contributions to the field of medical informatics. He earned his BS in Biology and MD from the University of Vermont and was a chief resident in emergency medicine at the University of San Francisco-Fresno. He completed his master’s degree in clinical research, and medical informatics fellowship at the Indiana University School of Medicine.
