Katie Cheng and William Jackson

Katie Cheng is counsel in the Complex Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice at Goodwin and a member of the firm’s Life Sciences Disputes group and Antitrust and Competition practice. She is dedicated to helping clients solve their most complex disputes and works tirelessly to develop creative litigation and trial strategies designed to lead to successful results. Her work centers on antitrust and other high-stakes competitive disputes touching on a wide variety of areas, including complex commercial litigation, contract, business torts, and unfair competition, with a special focus on the healthcare sector. She has represented both plaintiffs and defendants before federal courts, state courts, and arbitration panels in all aspects of litigation, including multiple trials and appeals. She has also represented clients regarding inquiries from the FTC and a state regulator.

William Jackson is a partner in the firm’s Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice and is a member of the firm’s Life Sciences Disputes group. His practice focuses on primarily on the life sciences and healthcare sectors. He has successfully represented both plaintiffs and defendants in intellectual property cases, class actions, contractual disputes, and other high-stakes commercial matters before federal courts, state courts, and domestic and international arbitration tribunals. In addition to representing clients in litigation, he often provides litigation risk analysis, counseling, and strategic advice.
Mr. Jackson has litigated, arbitrated, mediated, and counseled clients in a wide variety of industries including asset management, commercial banking, computer software, healthcare, healthcare technology, hedge funds, investment banking, payment systems, petrochemical and petrochemical services, pharmaceutical manufacturing, private equity, retail sales, and telecommunications.
