Dr. M. Mark Mofid MD FACS is a clinical assistant professor of plastic surgery at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a world-renowned plastic surgeon who has dedicated the last 20 years of his career to improving surgical outcomes for patients. He is also the founder and inventor of SYLKE- a medical device company which has developed the first hypoallergenic silk surgical site wound dressing. Dr. Mofid received his undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Harvard University and completed his medical degree and training at The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and was an Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of California San Diego for over a decade.
