His primary responsibility is strategy across Supply Chain at UPMC and he directly oversees supply chain’s role in third-party risk management. Flaherty is focused on initiatives related to optimizing supplier total value to UPMC, its patient, and commercial partners. For over 21 years, he has served in senior leadership roles of healthcare supply chain management, including strategic sourcing, systems, policy, process, clinical engineering and value analysis.
An accomplished and certified Risk Management and Compliance professional with over 20 years of experience in healthcare, Edward Estrada currently serves as the Vice President of Risk Management & Compliance for Premier, Inc. Driven by ensuring Premier’s information security strategy, infrastructure, systems, solutions, and services are fashioned, maintained, and delivered with the utmost security, quality, innovation, and integrity; he takes pride in cultivating partnerships, programs, and standards in a way that unobtrusively infuses compliance into the everyday. As Premier’s Vice President of Risk Management and Compliance, he has established a program and framework which monitors Premier’s information security capabilities and provides assurance to Premier’s executive leadership, various oversight committees, and customers.
