Reuters reported Wednesday that U.S. regulators would look at data from previous clinical trials that came from the same scientists who created the vaccine, AZD1222, which originated at the University of Oxford and is also known as ChAdOx1 nCoV-19.
The drugmaker said Monday that it had obtained clearance from the U.K.'s drug regulator to continue studies of the vaccine, AZD1222, which it licensed from the University of Oxford. Additionally, Pfizer's CEO said in a televised interview that the company has a good chance of knowing by the end of October if its vaccine works.
Employees who enjoy their benefits are more inclined to stay with their company. A 2025 Marsh McLennan Agency report said 73% of employees would remain if plan options were better.
The New York Times had reported that the participant in question was taking part in a Phase II/III trial in the U.K. The event was reported the same day that AstraZeneca's CEO and nine others signed a pledge not to rush development of vaccines against the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
The company announced the publication of interim data from the Phase I/II study of a vaccine it is developing with the University of Oxford. The news comes the week after Moderna announced the publication of data for its vaccine.
The drugmaker licensed the vaccine last month from the University of Oxford, which is developing it in a Phase I/II clinical trial in southern England. The company also plans a Phase III study.
