Ash Access Technology executive raising funds for related firm

AAT Catheter Technologies was formed earlier this year and wants to raise $2 million.

LAFAYETTE, Indiana — The president of the Indiana vascular business Ash Access Technologies is trying to raise $2 million for a related biotech company, according to filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

There are no further details on AAT Catheter Technologies, which was formed earlier this year.

Along with developing an antimicrobial gel and other vascular access products, Ash Access Technologies has developed one catheter, Centros, which is meant for long-term blood dialysis. That device received U.S. Food & Drug Administration approval two years ago and is being sold by New York’s AngioDynamics.

Ash Access Technologies is founded on the research of Dr. Stephen R. Ash, the longtime director of dialysis services at St. Elizabeth Hospital and Home Hospital. He co-founded Ash Access with its current president, Robert Truitt. Truitt’s name is the only one on the AAT filing.
