Ohio physical therapy firm bought by HealthPro Rehabilitation

Therapy Partners has been acquired for an undisclosed amount by a Maryland company that provides rehabilitation services to nursing homes.

HealthPro Rehabilitation has completed its acquisition of Therapy Partners, a provider of speech, occupational and physical therapy to nursing homes.

The deal strengthens HealthPro’s presence in the Midwest, according to a statement from the company.

Therapy Partners recently did its own deal with a rehabilitation company, merging with Solon, Ohio-based Rehabilitex Inc.

The deal is the third exit for a Northeast Ohio healthcare company this year, according to a spokeswoman from BioEntrerprise, a Cleveland nonprofit that helps biomedical companies with business development. The other two were Computer Systems Co., acquired by Hyland Software, and EdgePark Medical, acquired by two private equity firms for $850 million.

HealthPro is owned by private equity firm EDG Partners.
