St. Jude expands cardiac imaging offerings in India

St. Jude Medical (NYSE:STJ) this week rolled out one of its heart imaging products in India: the C7-XR Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) Intravascular Imaging System with the C7 Dragonfly Imaging Catheter. It’s a natural addition to the St. Jude product line in the country. The imaging system is used by interventional cardiologists to help with stent implantation.

St. Jude thinks its optical coherence tomography business is the shining star of the vascular division, and considers itself the global leader in the segment since its acquisition of LightLab. St. Jude has also recently launched the PressureWire Certus and PressureWire Aeris Wireless FFR Measurement Systems, which work with the OCT product.

From Mayo to St. Jude to Medtronic, India is increasingly everyone’s favorite med-tech consumer.
