You can see them all at ENGAGE, on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda. You should join us – not just for the four keynotes  but for an array of speakers who will discuss what’s next for ACOs, the best ways to act on patient feedback and other data, and what’s coming in the next generation of patient engagement.

ENGAGE is a hands-on affair. Select conference attendees are joining in a VIP showing of the award-winning documentary film Code Black the night before the conference, and then all ENGAGE attendees will celebrate the end of Day 1 at the Kaiser Center for Total Health.

When Pritts makes ENGAGE’s closing keynote on Oct 1., she and the rest of the ENGAGE audience will join a heck of an after-party: a Patients Town Hall that will be broadcast live on MedCityNews.com.

Last year, Forbes said one of the 10 best quotes in healthcare came from an ENGAGE keynoter. Which one of our keynotes will ascend to that position this year? And shouldn’t you be there to see it first hand? Find out more about ENGAGE.

I’m excited about each of our keynoters. This is the first chance Pritts has had since leaving the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to reflect publicly on her time as chief privacy officer. She’s promised to deliver a road map to how to properly share knowledge – and power – with patients for the good of healthcare. Sachin Jain, meanwhile, will draw on his experience as a clinician, government leader and now an executive at Merck to leverage technology to improve patient care.

A Deep-dive Into Specialty Pharma

A specialty drug is a class of prescription medications used to treat complex, chronic or rare medical conditions. Although this classification was originally intended to define the treatment of rare, also termed “orphan” diseases, affecting fewer than 200,000 people in the US, more recently, specialty drugs have emerged as the cornerstone of treatment for chronic and complex diseases such as cancer, autoimmune conditions, diabetes, hepatitis C, and HIV/AIDS.

Smith will kick off the entire ENGAGE conference with his insights on automation and medical interoperability seen from his position within West Health. Mostashari, meanwhile, will follow an all-star panel discussion on the status of ACOs by delivering his own vision on the current shift in the healthcare landscape from volume to value.

I look forward to joining all of you at ENGAGE. Sign up now and you can enjoy all these experiences at a lower rate.

See you in a few weeks at ENGAGE.
