Chris Seper (chris @ medcitynews.com) is the CEO of MedCity Media, which publishes MedCityNews.com. Chris drives the culture, oversees business and editorial directions, and manages the governance of the company (he also writes periodically for MedCityNews.com).
Chris is a former journalist turned media entrepreneur who launched MedCity Media in December 2008. He sits on the board of directors of The Civic Commons and the advisory boards of Spoke Software and Your Teen Magazine.
Veronica Combs (vcombs @ medcitynews.com) is the editor in chief of MedCityNews.com. She works with staff reporters and freelancers to find the latest inventions, innovations, and ideas in mobile health, medical devices, personalized medicine, health IT, and everything else people in healthcare need to understand.
Veronica has been working on the web for 12 years, creating content, managing e-mail campaigns, building communities, and searching for the ideal content management system. You can find her on LinkedIn, Twitter, Storify and SlideShare.
Paul McAvinchey (pmcavinchey @ medcitynews.com) is the product innovation manager of MedCity Media. Paul leads the development of the company’s range of products and services includingMedCityNews.com, along with custom solutions for clients and advertisers.
Paul previously founded Diddlyi.com, a subscription-based web app for Irish cultural enthusiasts and has worked with AOL, WMS Gaming and Riverdance in various online publishing and UX roles. Find him @yaboya.
Jane Levesque (jlevesque @ medcitynews.com) is the production manager at MedCity Media and works with hospitals and other clients who need content for websites, social media and print products. She assigns, organizes, schedules, edits and tracks multiple projects of various types through to completion.
Before joining MedCity Media in November of 2009, Jane worked as a staff writer for two newspapers and then as an editor and production manager for a small magazine publisher.
Ken Montgomery (kmontgomery @ medcitynews.com) is a business development manager at MedCity Media who helps drive sales in events, online advertising and content marketing services. He previously has experience in business to business sales and the healthcare industry.
Ken received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Mount Union College.
Stephanie Baum (sbaum @ medcitynews.com) is the East Coast innovation reporter, covering the life science and healthcare startup ecosystem in the Philadelphia to New York City region and contributing to our national coverage of digital health entrepreneurs. She also provides news and analysis on technology-driven innovation coming from hospitals, health systems and pharmaceutical companies.
Stephanie’s background includes working as a reporter for United Business Media in London and Dow Jones in New York where she helped cover the financial meltdown.
Deanna Pogorelc (dpogorelc @ medcitynews.com) is a Cleveland-based reporter who writes obsessively about life science startups across the country, looking to technology transfer offices, startup incubators and investment funds to see what’s next in healthcare.
She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Ball State University and previously covered business and education for a northeast Indiana newspaper.
Annamarie Iannetta (aiannetta@medcitynews.com) is MedCity Media’s marketing associate, providing support for the company’s events, marketing and business development. Annamarie spent a decade in television and the broadcast industry. She’s worked for E! Entertainment, WOIO-TV, WBKB-TV, WJET-TV and KECI-TV, among others. Before joining MedCity she served as the public relations and marketing coordinator for Motorcars Honda & Toyota in Cleveland Heights.
Annamarie received her B.A in telecommunications with a minor in Journalism from Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
