Cincinnati health-improvement group appoints new chairman

Stephen R. An executive at Cincinnati’s Catholic Healthcare Partners will chair the Quality Improvement Committee for the local Aligning Forces for Quality, a part of the Health Improvement Collaborative of Greater Cincinnati meant to improve the quality of health care in the region.

Stephen R. Grossbart, a corporate quality office at Catholic Healthcare Partners, will help primary-care physicians deliver evidenced-based care for diabetes and other chronic-illnesses case, and work with local hospitals to improve health disparities, according to a release (pdf).

Grossbart oversees quality initiatives in four states for Catholic Healthcare Partners, which include 32 acute care hospitals and 14 long-term care facilities. His position at aligning forces is voluntary.
