Thirty-three small and rural hospitals in Ohio will receive grants of $21,000 apiece for improvement projects ranging from reducing medical errors to complying with federal patient information regulations.
The state and federal grant money totaling $693,000 will be administered by the Foundation for Healthy Communities of the Ohio Hospital Association, the association said in a release. The grant money comes from the Ohio Small Hospital Improvement Program and the Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility Program.
