MUNROE FALLS, Ohio — LifeSaving Medical Solutions, which distributes an Israeli medical device that guides intubation, is raising $2 million to purchase more inventory and expand its distribution network.
The device, called ETView, is a tracheoscopic ventilation tube with a light and camera at the end so physicians can intubate a patient with the help of a television screen. LifeSaving Medical, located just outside of Kent, is the exclusive distributor in the United States and the product officially launched here two weeks ago, said Eric Cooper, LifeSaving Medical’s chief executive officer. Cooper also leads CEA Medical, an orthopedic products distribution company.
The company plan a gradual sales roll out throughout the country. It started in Ohio and neighboring states; will expand next into Texas, Mississippi and Kansas; and later in Florida and other states, Cooper said. They company will also add a couple of staff members as a result of the fund-raise, Cooper said.
