Sometime medical device investor S3 Ventures has raised a $20 million fund.
The fund is the company’s third of that same amount in as many years, VentureWire reported.
Austin, Texas-based S3 primarily invests in early-stage companies, with amounts ranging from $100,000 in seed funding to multimillion dollar Series A or B rounds. Though Managing Director Brian Smith holds degrees from Purdue University and the University of Cincinnati, S3 typically focuses its investments in the Southwest.
The Hidden Administrative Tasks Draining Small Practices

S3’s portfolio companies include Houston-based orthodontics device maker OrthoAccel Technologies Inc.
