The Rubber City Radio Group (RCRG) and MedCity News have agreed to a content partnership, it was announced today.

Under the agreement, Rubber City Radio will use MedCity News content on the award-winning AkronNewsNow.com and will also feature MedCity News content in broadcast programming. The agreement provides for MedCity News staff members to periodically appear on-air and discuss news from the medical sector of interest to the Akron audience.

“This is a great opportunity to expand our coverage, in partnership with MedCity News, of a segment of the local economy critical to the growth and development of the Akron area,” said Ed Esposito, vice president of information media for Rubber City Radio Group. “MedCity News delivers depth and context provided by trusted and talented journalists who understand how important the medical services and technology sector is beyond the normal healthcare reporting.”

“We couldn’t be happier with this syndication agreement between MedCity News and Rubber City Radio Group,” said Chris Seper, president and co-founder of MedCity News. “Our goal is to deliver quality content to people who are interested in healthcare. We’re proud to have our name associated with another trusted media outlet.

“This agreement, coupled with our other syndication partnerships, means that more people in Ohio have a chance to get their news on the business of healthcare from MedCity News more than any other news outlet.”

MedCity News also has syndication agreements with the Ohio News Network, Akron Beacon Journal and WKYC-TV, among others.

Rubber City Radio Group is a family owned and managed media company, operating three radio stations and publishing nine websites serving greater Akron.
