Christ Hospital acquires suburban Cincinnati orthopedics practice

The Christ Hospital has acquired the orthopedics practice of a physician in suburban Fairfax.

The Christ Hospital has acquired the orthopedics practice of a physician in suburban Fairfax, Ohio.

Dr. Daniel Funk‘s practice will become affiliated with Christ Hospital as of Oct. 4. The practice will be known as The Christ Hospital Orthopaedic Associates, according to a statement from the 550-bed, nonprofit Cincinnati hospital.

No purchase price was specified. Funk’s practice will maintain its same location in Fairfax.

Funk has more than 20 years’ experience in orthopedics and specializes in sports medicine. His areas of expertise include arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery, rotator cuff repairs, total knee replacements, torn ligaments and tendons, fractures, elbow and wrist injuries, and foot and ankle injuries.

Christ Hospital lists four affiliated orthopedic surgeons on its website, including Funk.
