Plastics News’ Plastics in Medical Devices 2012 conference returns to Northeast Ohio next month, and offers plenty for all members of the medical device supply chain  — from the latest in material, tooling and process developments to tips for collaborative innovation and for navigating the FDA approval process.

The June 11-13 event at the LaCentre conference facility in Westlake will feature 25 expert presenters who will touch on such topics as biomaterials, sustainability, part validation and additive manufacturing. Nick Fotis, an R&D director for Cardinal Health Inc., will deliver the keynote address, offering advice on how to enter and supply the medical device market.

The speaker lineup also includes officials from Aastrom Biosciences Inc., Cannuflow Inc., Future Path Medical Holding Co., PolyOne Corp., Materialise NV and U.S. Endoscopy,  plus sessions on the latest in liquid silicone rubber and fluoropolymer molding.
