A big data tool to help biotechnologists improve the success rate of drug development. A set of tools to help healthcare facilities improve scheduling, payroll management and cost control. Those are a couple of the early stage companies in New York accelerator Blueprint Health’s fourth class of entrepreneurs.

In keeping with the trend of accepting increasingly mature entrepreneurs, five of the companies — WellTrackOne, StaffInsight, Pathdrugnomics, Board Vitals and Goalsponsors — are generating revenue.

Artemis One health IT company has developed a set of tools to help companies track their progress complying with Meaningful Use deadlines spelled out in the HITECH Act. Salt Lake City, Utah-based Artemis has developed a real time meaningful use dashboard, report cards, and a way to submit attestation.

Board Vitals The group of physicians founded medical education company Board Vitals to develop study questions to help residents, attending physicians and fellows to pass their board exams. Each question gives users analysis on how they compare with peers and the difficulty of the question based on how many others got it right or wrong. It wants to expand subject areas beyond pathology and psychology.

Genterpret Genetic tests have been very much in the news of late from the U.S. Supreme Court decision to Angelina Jolie’s decision. Genterpret’s customers are the labs that analyze and process genetic tests like those at the heart of these stories. The Harvard Innovation Lab graduate founded by two systems biology graduates from Harvard University has developed a database of genetic variants and workflow tools for genome analysis and interpretation to help genetic testing labs more efficiently produce reports for patients.

CredSimple This cloud-based reference and credentials service sees itself as a version of insurance credentialing software Universal Provider DataSource. But CredSimple wants to give a better user experience. Its tool is designed to reduce the time it takes to complete primary source verification and reference checks.

Goal Sponsors The mobile platform is designed to help therapists personal trainers and nutritionists privately coach clients scale their businesses. Goal Sponsors provides tools for lead generation, payments, scheduling and communication. It also helps their clients access on-demand, personalized guidance.

Healthify The goal of Healthify is to give providers a more detailed picture of social and environmental factors that could impact their patients’ likelihood for readmission. By providing details like whether a patient is having trouble paying an electricity bill or buying groceries, the founders believe they can help providers improve the way they track and manage these social risks. It’s the kind of information that could impact adherence, which can lead to a higher healthcare costs.

PathDrugomics A group of entrepreneurs think they can help drug developers help reduce the cost of developing therapeutics and bringing them to market. How? PathDrugomics is developing a way to use data analytics to model interactions between newly discovered drugs and their possible targets within diseases. It believes it can help improve the success rate of drug development.

SpotMe The employer wellness support tool SpotMe helps manage “Activity Spending Accounts” for healthy activities like gym memberships, as well as benefit administration. It can also verify fitness activities automatically.

StaffInsight The New Orleans-based business is all about providing workforce management tools to help hospitals and long-term care facilities identify ways to improve productivity. It has a cost control tool, but StaffInsight is also developing scheduling and payroll tools for nurses and nurse managers.

WellTrackONE A company that wants to help primary care physicians improve compliance with Medicare with an embedded, proprietary risk stratification engine. By helping physicians meet Medicare compliance criteria, WellTrackONE seeks to help physicians capture lost revenue.
