This is a first: a digital Advent calendar that promotes a healthcare system. The King’s Fund is posting a new entry every day that includes a six-second Vine video, a short message about a healthcare topic, a longer post and links to more reading.

The list covers everything from fuel poverty (not enough money to pay heating bills) to this year’s restructuring of the National Health Service to hospital volunteers. John Appleby, the Fund’s chief economist for health policy, even makes an appearance on Day 16 to discuss the merits of competition of within the NHS.

They are counting down to the 25th, so check back in every day. Here are some of the best entries so far.
