Over the years, many of MedCity’s readers have looked to our senior editor — Stephanie Baum — to learn about the latest innovative startup to raise capital or to better understand an industry development, especially in digital health.
After seven years of beat coverage, Stephanie is being promoted to director of special projects, MedCity News. With the continued evolution of media and MedCity News, it is imperative that we have people rooted in the brand spearheading the development of new forms of media for our readers, event attendees, and marketing partners.
The Power Behind Enterprise EHR Software for Large Healthcare Systems
Enterprise EHR boosts scalability, interoperability, and governance for large healthcare systems.
In her new role, Stephanie will report directly to MedCity CEO, John Lerner, and will be challenged with developing new projects that advance the publication’s brand for our readers, event attendees, and marketing partners. She will continue to maintain a byline given her considerable knowledge about the healthcare ecosystem but will move away from daily beat coverage of digital health.
“The past seven years have been a whirlwind,” Stephanie said. “It’s been so interesting learning about healthcare entrepreneurship and health tech on a local and national level. I feel very fortunate to have worked for MedCity News and look forward to taking on this new role. ”
Part of Stephanie’s beat will be taken over by Erin Dietsche, who covers hospital and health IT. MedCity News will be creating a new reporting position that will involve covering technology companies making inroads into healthcare such as Apple, Amazon, and Google, payer innovation, and employee health benefits.
Please join me in congratulating Stephanie on a well-deserved new role and in wishing her continued success.
