Sen will report directly to Cleveland Clinic CEO and President Tom Mihaljevic, who previously served as the CEO of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

“Partnerships and innovative growth strategies are more important than ever in today’s ever-changing healthcare landscape,” Mihaljevic said in a statement. “By focusing on long-term growth and development, we will further our mission of improving the lives of as many patients as possible.”

Sen is a native of Turkey with extensive experience in Europe and the Middle East, particularly in the United Arab Emirates. He is a founding partner of healthcare and life sciences VC firms Biolinka and healthcare investment advisory firm Casta Group.

His connection to Cleveland Clinic stems from when led development of an integrated healthcare network in his role as a director of Mubadala Investment Company’s healthcare unit, the organization’s partner for Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
