NeuroFlow recently hired Matt Stiner, former director at Humana Military, to lead its government affairs department. In addition, the company partnered with Washington, D.C.-based venture firm Risk and Return to further expand its presence in the government and military space.


Cedar, a health IT business seeking to make medical billing more easily understood by patients, raised $102 million in a Series C funding round. The round includes $77 million in venture capital, led by Andreessen Horowitz, and $25 million in venture debt from JP Morgan. Click here to read more.


DispatchHealth, an in-home healthcare service focused on patients with chronic conditions, raised $135.8 million in a Series C round. TARA Biosystems closed a $10 million Series A2 funding round to advance its goal to increase the success of cardiac disease drug discovery and development. It engineers predictive cardiac tissue models to enable faster, safer, and more reliable development of new medicines. New investors included OMX Ventures, Merieux Equity Partners, and LifeForce Capital. Current investors , including Alexandria Venture Investments, Partnership Fund for New York City, Trancos Ventures, DEFTA Partners, New York Ventures and Tachyon Ventures also took part in the funding round.
