Parakeet Health, a conversational agentic platform, announced on Thursday that it secured $10 million in Series A funding.

The San Francisco-based company serves healthcare providers by automating patient workflows and managing inbound calls, outreach, fax processing and web scheduling. The platform integrates with existing EHR and practice-management systems. It currently works with six of the 10 largest dermatology groups in the U.S. and supports more than 2,800 providers.

The Series A round was led by Canvas Ventures, with participation from Blank Space Ventures, StoryHouse Ventures and HMC INQ. In total, Parakeet Health has raised $13 million.

According to Canvas Ventures, Parakeet has deep AI expertise and delivers meaningful ROI for healthcare customers.

“They’re helping some of the country’s largest specialty groups book more appointments, lower costs and make it easier for patients to access care,” said Rebecca Lynn, co-founder and managing director at Canvas Ventures, in a statement. “We believe the future of patient engagement is one connected, AI-driven experience across every channel. Not a collection of disconnected tools. Parakeet is delivering that today, with clear financial returns for providers and a seamless experience for patients. And they’re just getting started.”

The financing will be used to expand the company’s technology and team, as well as improve its personalization capabilities. Parakeet will also use the funding to expand to additional providers and specialties.

“We’ve built a substantial presence in dermatology and are expanding across other outpatient markets, including primary care, behavioral health, women’s health, eyecare, physical therapy, gastroenterology and radiology,” said Jung Park, co-founder and CEO of Parakeet Health. “Each has different scheduling requirements and patient needs, so that expansion requires investment in integrations, workflow configuration and implementation support.”

The funding round comes as about three in 10 medical practices report that new-patient appointment wait times are longer in 2026 than they were in 2025.

“Healthcare organizations can have patients waiting for care and unfilled appointments at the same time,” Park told MedCity News. “A referral arrives by fax but takes too long to process. A patient cancels, and no one has time to fill the opening. Someone calls to schedule but hangs up before reaching a staff member. Those gaps make it harder for patients to get care, create more work for staff and leave providers with unused capacity. Parakeet connects the work needed to turn those opportunities into booked appointments.”
