The CEO of a genomics company that pitched at the South by Southwest Accelerator competition in digital health, shared news that it has added a couple of strategic investors and inked a deal with the largest contract research organization.
Dr. Reid Robison of Tute Genomics said the business recently completed the second part of a Series A1 funding round in which it added Tencent — China’s largest Internet services portal —and Healthbox as strategic partners.
Quintiles also selected the company for its genomics interpretation platform.
Robison also noted its collaboration with Google Genomics on a database of 8.5 million annotations of genomic variants.
The company’s data analysis platform is designed to accelerate analysis from a list of variants to a full interpretation of sequencing data.
