Healthcare heats up with Google on FHIR
We hope that instead of just data mining, Google will start working with HL7 International to expand FHIR in an effort to leverage the promising impact of machine learning in healthcare.

Kevin is the co-founder and CEO of Tissue Analytics, Inc. (www.tissue-analytics.com), a Baltimore and Kansas City-based company using FHIR to build smarter EHR workflows. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. Kevin is passionate about interoperability and the use of machine learning to modernize healthcare delivery.
Joshua Budman is a Baltimore-based technologist specializing in imaging and the development of integrated healthcare applications. He holds a B.S. in biomedical engineering from Johns Hopkins University and conducted graduate work in biomedical engineering at the Johns Hopkins the Center for Bioengineering Innovation and Design. Since 2014, Josh has been the CTO of the digital health startup, Tissue Analytics, where he has helped integrate his company's product with many of the major electronic medical record systems.
