Virginia Gurley, MD, MPH is the Senior Consulting Physician at HGS Population Health Management Solutions, shaping the direction of the company’s analytics offerings, and providing strategic clinical guidance for design and delivery of population health services.
Dr. Gurley joined HGS as a result of HGS’s acquisition of AxisPoint Health in 2018. She brings more than 30 years of experience in preventive care, clinical systems design, analytics, and health education. Prior to this role, Dr. Gurley held leadership positions at managed care organizations and care management suppliers, including Healthways, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, McKesson Corporation, and Colorado Access.
Dr. Gurley earned her MD from the University of California at Davis School of Medicine and received her Master’s in Public Health and residency training in Preventive Medicine and Public Health from Johns Hopkins University.
