He will be writing about digital media strategy. His first post offers hard advice to newspapers.  Cleveland’s The Plain Dealer may reduce its publishing schedule to three days a week. Instead, the executives should:

  • Sell the press and sign a long-term lease
  • Make the resulting layoffs
  • Hire someone who really understands digital media
  • Build a skunkworks division
