It’s difficult these days for medical device companies to raise a dollar, so today’s MedTech Innovators pitchfest in the Bay Area should be quite interesting. Ten semi-finalists have been selected to pitch their device onstage at theEmerging Medical Technologies Summit; the winner moves onto a round where they could win $125,000.

4. Diagnostic Photonics – High-resolution, intraoperative imaging system for cancer surgery
5. Intellidrain – delivers patient-specific pulmonary therapy to improve thoracic surgery outcomes
6. Life Assist – wearable “OnStar for seniors”
7. Nurep – Global on-demand medical device support
8. Surgisense – Two devices, one screening, one therapeutic in treating colorectal cancer
9. Tiny Kicks – Wearable sensor with predictive analytics to guide health pregnancy outcomes
10. Torix Medical – Office-based therapy for permanent relief of BPH-related urinary retention
