ELYRIA, Ohio — EMH Regional Healthcare System has expanded its services into western Cuyahoga County – the first of what will likely be two expansion announcements by the independent hospital in the coming months.
The Elyria-based health system purchased North Ohio Medical Imaging in late December and has now converted it into EMH Westlake Imaging Center. It is the only location in Cleveland’s western suburbs that offers vascular MRA (magnetic resonance angiogram) and CT services, hospital spokeswoman Kristen Davis said. The site also offers an array of other traditional diagnostic services.
When Investment Rhymes with Canada
Canada has a proud history of achievement in the areas of science and technology, and the field of biomanufacturing and life sciences is no exception.
“There’s no need to travel to Cleveland for these services – you’ll find cardiac excellence right here, close to home,” EMH cardiologist Dr. Michael Langer stated in a press release.
Davis said EMH is hoping to attract new patients, but it’s largely looking expand into Westlake to accommodate existing patients who were coming from western Cuyahoga County and traveling to Avon for services.
In the next two weeks, EMH expects to announce plans for 24 acres of land it purchased in North Ridgeville last year. Davis said the land likely will house a fitness center and medical offices. A final determination will be made by the hospital system’s board of directors.
